The Gartner Digital Commerce Vendor Guide, 2020
According to Gartner,
- The digital commerce technology subsegment represented $11.8 billion in sales, and is a critical area for investment for digital business outcomes.
- The transition from on-premises to cloud technology will continue. It will add risk to the process of selecting the right architecture — whether commerce-, experience- or API-led, for example — to drive business outcomes.
- Digital commerce technologies span multiple vendors and have numerous internal business stakeholders. This leads to challenges and the need for a common language to understand the digital commerce technology landscape*.
